The Challenge:

Back in the days of Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show, ALPO Dog Food was a consistent sponsor. The only issue was that their commercials had grown a little stale over the years, and the client was looking to refresh the spots and create a little buzz.

The Storyline:

Playing off Carson's famed "Carnak the Magnificent” skit, we put a turban on a dog and had Ed McMahon do the introductions, while Doc Severinsen provided the voiceover. This was one spot that truly pushed the envelope.
